I've also put a Female GT in a 10 gallon because it kept attacking the male. I also verbally abuse the black oscar at times. It will open it's mouth and try to attack/defend it's self and stare straight at me.....I tell it to shut up.
My friend used to hold his pbass in the net bc he wouldnt stop eating.
My oscars eat like cows as well I have to put a pellet directly in front of the aro so he wont get there.
