Well to be fair you have them over white which will wash any color. Rainybetta isn't a cheat, she/he is pretty reputable.

However he sold them as a breeding pair and they wont/cant breed after 5months and also thats exactly what they look like in real life whether its white sand,black or no gravel at all. The one in the pic is red, what i received was pink and also totally different body shapes and totally different pearl spacing.
Its clear to me that the pic was photoshopped.
Just my experience with rainny, cant say enough about Pats customer service but he has went quiet since emailing him about why the SRTs still havent bred since receiving in Nov.
Pat (Rainnybetta) is known to use pink/red lighting to artificially enhance the color of his fish in photos. He's one of the better sellers on AB, but he's certainly no saint either.

I realized that the photo used in his advertisement was enhanced with pink/red lighting so there were no surprises on my end, but still ....

RD, Ive tried everything to get them too breed inc by themselves in own tank but no luck so far.

Can you post the same pic again, as you did on page 3? I'm not so sure that's even the same female?
Tbh i didnt really care at first since it took 4+months for them too arrive from Thailand and was just glad they made it safely since the transhipper messed up the shipping with too small a bag,leaking bags,incorrectly tied etc but now that they dont seem to be breeding, its just another insult to injury sort of thing.
I use the colour t5 lighting which enchances the red in the fish so that cant be the excuse.

Here is what they look like now.Was expecting the deep red colour but its more of a pink colour than anything and also it has wayyyyy more white in it than it does in the photoshop pic Pat used to sell it as on aquabid.Plus totally different shape of body.
More insult to injury i paid 750usd in total inc transhipping costs 350 for the actual breeding pair ... but since having them in Nov they still cant breed.... the female tex hasnt laid any eggs at all!!
