There are two ARTC's - Hemibagrus wyckioides and H. nemurus.
According to planet-catfish they will both kill every fish in their tank, and some people call H. wyckioides "the most aggressive fish in the world".

I THINK YOU WILL FIND THAT MYSTUS NEMURUS IS THE OLDER NAME RECLASSIFIED INTO HEMIABAGRUS-BUT BOTH THIS AND WIKII (NOT A RED TAIL AND BULKIER BODY SHAPE) ARE ONE TO A TANK FISH.

Hemibagrus wyckioides is not H. wyckii. Nor is it H. nemurus. They are 3 distinct fish that all used to be Mystus.

I WAS TRYING TO SAY MYSTUS NEMURUS=WYCKIOIDES BUT THAT WYCHII IS ALSO ONE TO A TANK-THANKS FOR THE SPELLING I CANT SPELL IN ENGLISH NEVERMIND LATIN.:D

JUST BEEN ON PLANET CATFISH AND HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS UNDER "NEMURUS" BUT IF YOU LOOK IN ANY BOOK INCLUDING BURGESS ATLAS YOU WILL FIND A PICTURE OF WHAT IS NOW BEING CALLED WYCHIODES BUT NAMED AS NEMURUS-CONSTANT NAME CHANGES CAUSE MUCH CONFUSION IN THE HOBBY-I WOULD PREFER TO DEPEND ON BOOKS FOR INFO OVER A NET LIST AS A RULE BUT IN TERMS OF BEING UPTO DATE I SUPPOSE PCF WINS OUT -I WOULD STILL LIKE MORE INFO ON PCF`S NEMURUS AS IT LOOKS LIKE AN ALBINO WYCKIODES.

Hit your caps lock button again.

M nemurus is now classified as H wychioides (artail)
M wyckii is now H wyckii (chrystal eye)
both will be found in books and on many web sites under the older name.

but can you fill in the blank for me/us? What was the fish now classified as H nemurus (no red tail and lots of pics appear albino) formally known as ????? :nilly::confused::confused::confused:
