I got in trouble tonight LOL

I bought my first house and also bought a stand for my new 150 gallon setup.

my Mom came buy and freaked at how big the stand was LOL

I guess she felt that the 90g I had was already too big..:)

and she hasn't even seen the tank yet...
Stand by for parental KABOOM!! lmao

Do you guys get in trouble with family due to your fish keeping hobby, mines were not too stoked at first when the space taking up gradually got larger as well as trapsing through the house with buckets of water lol

IDK but my wife can answer that better than I can after she puts the cast iron skillet down and stops threatening me with it. :1zhelp:

built a large waterfall and small pond 7 years ago.the next year added a stream and a big pond, filter and fish.then my wife started adding fish.and more fish and more fish.she got hooked bad.hade a spawn, now way the babies were going to stay outside for the winter she says.33 gallon tank inside.2 years ago all fish had to come.60 gallon tank overstalked like crazy.this summer she buys more fish and the koi get bigger and bigger.i say leave them outside she says noway 700 gallons now in the basement.yes it gets me in trouble but in a good way.

yup. whats funny is I kept telling my folks that 'the tank is 6 feet long" over and over.

but I guess it didn't sink in until they actually SEE part of the set up.

and the tank will look even bigger than the stand will -because you are looking down at it. the tank is closer to eye level and looks even bigger as a result.

scary thought...

Haha we are all in the same boat. But my parents support it because they like it too. In fact, we just got a 150g. LOL that makes 1 35g, 3 20g, 2 29g, 1 45g, 2 55g, 2 90g ponds, 1 125g and like 5 10g. The only thing my parents complain about is the electric bill. Everyone else just thinks im crazy.

Man i love that, when you get a new big tank and you dont expect it to look as big as it does, you look at a space and go yeah that'll fit sweet, then when it arrives its like wow, i live in an appartment too which makes it fun.
