Does drop eye make you love your arowana less?

I did have a silver, for about 3 months, and sold it as soon as it looked like it was starting to get drop eye. I'd swap my green for a black any day of the week though....
I don't believe it would make me like mine any less. Yes they look *better* without DE, but seeing as I was so excited about even HAVING an Aro that I didn't watch TV for a week and instead watched him swim around, I'd have to say I'm going to love him no matter what!
I would see it as a defect in an asian.
I would expect a silver to get it so it's not like I wouldn't be expecting it. I have no interest in silvers because of it.

^ Thats pretty much how I feel. I'd be pretty upset if my green started getting it (17" and so far so good...) which is why I've been feeding only pellets and shrimp. Not sure if I'd keep him or sell if he did get it, depends how bad it was I guess, but it would certainly bother me and I would probably use it as a good excuse to upgrade to a RTG.
