does fish feel pain

This is a subject that carries inherent disagreements with it, even people who agree with each other that fish feel pain disagree on how much.
Disagreeing is fine, getting personal about your disagreements is not. Please wrap it in people.
 
Feeling is an emotion. Fish do not have emotions, but they do have "reactions". Any sinew that twitches does not mean it has feeling, but a reflex.

ok, i do admit that was a childish and immature way to say that i didnt mind Channa fry being used as feeders. i was saying it all in good fun, and was more than likely drinking at the time, it did offend that person and i appologize for it. as for you sand tiger. you wont leave it alone. i tried to put it to rest with you the last time i posted. you have continued to bring it up, and i think you need to understand when i say iam here to talk fish and not fight. the person who i bashed on for the feeders said it upset him so i laid it to rest. why would i want to confront him and get into a senseless argument when the thread is about something entirely different. i can admit when i am wrong, but you need to stay outta my business and ill stay outta yours. i am offering my hand up for appologies :thumbsup: if you want to continue not liking me thats fine, but please quit trying to start a fight with me. i will try my best to not throw out rude and distasteful comments, and i hope you will accept my peace treaty. id much rather type and read good useful information than sit here reposting insults at eachother.

i herd some where that fish only have a memory of 3 seconds is that true,and maybe that has somethin to do with the pain level :)
 
I hope fish dont feel too mush pain my oscar is smashing his head against the tank cover now.Thats how he tells me i didnt feed him enough. yea hes a :headbang2

No, thats not true. The myth goes that goldfish have a three second memory. It has been disproven many times...even by the Mythbusters.

I normally do not have any problem with you. It is when you make posts like the one I quoted that I get bothered. I already said my piece, I do not intend to take this any further. I still disagree with a lot of what you post and I still find a lot of it immature and over the top but I'll let it rest. It is not that I dislike you, I just do not like a lot of what you say and being the person I am I point it out in the wrong places. I appologize for that and hyjacking this thread.
