You didn't have enough filtration to begin with. Taking out a source of bio filtration when you didn't have much in the first place will probably make things worse.will doChrisplosion;4548913; said:Less gravel means less weight which means fill your tank up if you can. eheim 2260 isnt enough filteration for a 112 ( well 110 ) ?jcardona1;4548919; said:You didn't have enough filtration to begin with. Taking out a source of bio filtration when you didn't have much in the first place will probably make things worse.
Not if you're seeing ammonia. Unless you did something to wipe out your bacteria colony, causing the tank to go through a mini-cycle.livebearerfreak;4548923;4548923 said:eheim 2260 isnt enough filteration for a 112 ( well 110 ) ?
NO. a working bio filter will keep ammonia in check. Lack of water changes would see a spike in nitrAte levelslivebearerfreak;4548926;4548926 said:hmm reason i think im seeing ammonia is from lack of waterchange.
Not removing excess waste might be. I still say if you can get another person to stand next to you by the tank then its ok to fill it up all the way.livebearerfreak;4548926; said:hmm reason i think im seeing ammonia is from lack of waterchange.
