no probs with any of the four eheims I have but they are all 'classic' models and don't have the extra bells & whistles. One of them has been running non-stop for 18 years and the original seal is still good. I'm actually not lying lol.

yes, I have a classic that has been with me and working no problem for 10+ years, it has moved 6 times!

lol, taking fluvals over eheim

That's rich.

give me one reason why an eheim is better than fluval? they cost more, that is all. if it makes you feel better to spend more, so be it. I see people feel like they are in an elite club because they spent more money on a filter for their tank. THEY BOTH DO THE EXACT SAME THING.

obviously no one on here owns a 2028/2128, the "double tap unit" is the part that the hoses connect to, the nipples break very easily. the plastic is very thin at the base and if you torque the hose at all you will snap the nipple at the base. this is fine, plastic breaks, so what, but when you cannot get the part for months, what is the point in fixing it?

I am a store owner, I deal with problems more frequently than most. Yes it comes down to a customer service matter, if eheim knew what it was or how to provide it, I would not have many complaints about their products. When you pay $400 for a filter and it breaks and you cannot get the parts because they don't exist in the country yet, how are you supposed to just forget it?

Tikarman, don't bother, we all know that you are on the eheim payroll, you are too biased. :grinno:
