No offense to any one but For that money I could definitly find something I would like much better.

Going rates for just 6" aimara is $650 to $750. And yes money is better well spent on something else but at least I can say I gave it a try, live and learn.

Everyone's different, and has different experiences. I liked my first Aimara enough to get a second one, just like some of the other keepers here...... ;) Price seems to be a little less down here. Might be more coming in?

The only way to know is to try for yourself, might end up being your favorite fish.....

Some people have great luck with ATF, some people loose them to crashing into the sides, same with Armatus. Those that haven't lost them really enjoy them.....

Your absolutly right DB! I am definitly shooting around this site in search of my next potential monster!

Not a big fan of Wolf, never had a Dorado. But owned a nice VATF for 3 yrs, was my favorite but yes he was skittish when cleaning in tank and lost him that way crashing into top of tank. Have 3 Armatus now and very pleased with their response. Not even close to skittishness as the VATF was. Feed out of my fingers. Have yet to see the Armatus crash sides or top of tank.
I vote Armatus......

Anyone remember Angeladay's Dorado? Want to say that thing was grown to almost 20" in a 300 without any issues. Not sure how old the fish was.

For what it's worth- Mine always seem to grow crazy fast till about 10-12" then painfully slow. The Franky (Franciscanus) I have is a few years old and I'm not sure he's 15" yet. My Brassy (Brasiliensis) grew much faster then the Frankie did, also seems more tolerant of tank mates.......
Franky 3+ years old and prob not over 15 inches?!?!?! hmmmm makes me wanna get one lol

I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on a dorado and look at rapps list. Just my luck, no longer there. Grrr! I will email him to see if he has any still but not what I hoped to find.

IMO, I'd just have a species only tank with like 10 armies if I had the money for such a big setup :D. Thats why I have a 240 with 8 scombies right now :).

He may be on vacation as he usually is prompt to reply. I ordered 1 from him 5 weeks ago.
