dovii or not dovii?

I've heard of the argentea being similar to dovii in the way that they often seem to go ballistic overnight.... interested to see how that works out lol. I think that you should still try to find a female umbee lol. Now that there is proven success in parachromis x umbriferum hybrids it would be a little less of a blind attempt.

Are you referring to the guy on YouTube who claimed they had, he never grew any fry out to a size to see if they were. There were many fish in that tank and I find it odd he culled the lot....
Or is it another account?

Just re watched them, the fact one had a black tail and he had an orange Midas with black on him makes me think that Midas got a sneaky cover on the eggs....
Who knows but just my opinion, they weren't grown big enough to show either traits of loiselle or umbee other than the lateral line which lots of fish have, inc both supposed parents and baby Midas to an extent...
 
Watch his 1400g update and there are several Midas with full black tails.... why would you get an umbee x loiselle with a black tail?
