Dovii Tankmates?

Well I have 2 Dovii 1m/1f both are 7-8in and are pretty good fish but my male hides most of the time, they have just spawned and now the female is more argressive then the male. My female almost kill 8in firemouth, that was in the same tank when I bought them from a LFS. I would love to add some catfish or somthing in the tank then just 2 fish but I can't complain I just picked these guys up 2month ago and now they are breeding but we will see. As for tankmates just depends on the fish!

Hey mate I dont think any of those fish could live with a dovii but maybe a very large pleco or armourd cat fish

What about a Mangrove Jack?

Hey Eric

Let them grow out with your other fish but at 4 - 5 inches you may have to give him his own set up. I don't know if the Jack will go it'll end up being a solo fish tank eventually.

Hey i currently just got a dovii without knowing what i was getting myself into. But i got him along wit a one Jaguar, three black belts. three convicts, and three pictus cats and all are under 5 inchs with the dovii be the smallest at about 1.5 inch. And this is all in a 55 gallon. And someone tell me what i should expect in the near future

make a reference when you say halfway that could be any of those post wise guy

get a real dovii n see how it reacts to other fish...... better yet just throw it in one of my tanks and I'll mail you his body back

Try to be a little more open minded. Some Dovii are more aggressive towards tankmates than others.
