Drip system

I aim to drip .5 gph into 20g tanks,
And 1 gph in 29g tanks.

I tested my house and the water pressure is at 60 psi.

The 1 gph drip emitters from home depot are rated from 10-45.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

That is what they are rated for in regards to accuracy, not coming off of the line. I would try one and measure it. If you're ballpark happy get a bucket of emitters and call it a day. I am using 4 GPH emitters from HD and have roughly the same Psi (55). Have been for many years

To measure, use a 1 gallon jug and time how long it takes to fill. If you are close or a little over GPH wise I would hesitate to run it as is with emitters. The only concern I can think of would be heat in small tanks. I don't have any small tanks so no experience for me to offer there, sorry.

What do you mean by hesitate to run it as is with emitters?

You already have line from your manifold to the tank. I mean I wouldn't be concerned about the PSI you posted. I would put an emitter on the end of the line, measure if I am happy with the flow and if so, call it a day.

By measure I was referring to giving you some peace of mind within your desired flow rates. Your pressure is a bit higher but if you are concerned, measure it and see how close it is. Odds are good you will be in the ballpark and a moot point.

My house pressure is 60 psi. Should I have installed a regulator? Anyone know the max psi that pex clamps on a barbed fitting can handle?

The 1 gph drip emitters from home depot are all dripping at different paces. Could this be because of the high pressure? The emitters are rated for 10-45 PSI

If a regulator is needed, what type should I buy, and where should it be installed?

Thanks

I use a 25 psi regulator available on EBay and Amazon for less than $10. I use adjustable drip emitters that can be adjusted from less than 1 gph to up to around 10 gph. Also available on EBay and Amazon. Works trouble free once you get it dialed in.
