I seriously doubt the validity of your site. You do the math for the 180 gallon tank. Water weight is 1501.2 lbs (using 8.34 lbs per gallon). Listed weight is 2100 lbs. You go find me a 180 gallon tank that weighs 600 lbs dry.

My 180 gallon set up weighs close to 2900 pounds. :p

Stop being a ... :duh: and do a little research. Within 5 minutes you can find out that glass weighs about 3.4 pounds per sq ft. 1/4" thickness and a 40 gallon breeder has a little over 18 sq ft of glass.

mine 40gallon is a bredder 36x18x16.
and i moved it onto my completed DIY stand today...
sorry i should'a weighed it

Lets get pics of the set up. Next time you move it, get a weight so can end the debate. ;)

When did this change from Earthquake to tank weight? LOL

Your the only one debating this, maybe you should go out and get yourself a tank that, is not made of plastic, has volume measured in gallons not pints and can accually hold more then just a betta. Then this 60 pound, 40 gallon breeder tank won't be so hard for you to comprehend.

You can tell oddball took the day off...lol This would have been closed long ago. The thread was not about the weight of a 40 breeder and now has become that. If it is so hard to believe, start a poll or a new thread this is a dead horse AND a lost cause....

lets get back to the earthquake tank issue..enough of the weight for now..
i think it's best to contact a manufacture about tank weight, haha
