Its good that internationally we are being seen as beating the virus here in Australia according to the article.
Unfortunately the way people are carrying on you would think its all over and life can reset to how it was before the virus. We have had a very lenient lockdown and restrictions are being slowly lifted, my state is being more cautious than others and everyone is going nuts. There were even protests that turned into a brawl on the weekend to end the restrictions sooner. The way people behaved at the start of this and the way they are behaving now makes me think a second wave is inevitable ,especially as we are heading into winter.
Im not a fan of the government, state or federal but I must admit theyve done a good job with this, its one of the times you have to trust them and hope they know what they are doing as dodgy as it seems.
Again, until a vaccine comes out, something that the masses can do as a preventative action.

My Dr has had me on vitamin d for years. All office workers should probably get it.
I do wear a mask when I am around others in public, which ain't much, but not some ridiculous darth vader nonsense with rivets and vents and tubes and breathing holes and velcro.
Well, the velcro might be OK...
This is cowboy bandana territory anyhow so that's my MO. Mostly it's for appearances. Some stores require it. I'm shopping more form home anyhow.
BUT, I have carried gloves, Lysol and paper towels in my truck for over 10 years. You have to pump your own gas in California. Gas pumps are fvrackin gross, and nobody gives a crap most places.

Nobody has a plan, or at least a plan that survives scrutiny. It's all about opportunism, like all life.
Opperknockity may only tune once, but opportunities can be manufactured, and they lay all about us for those who can spot them.
Most of all, the opportunities to mis-lead abound. Find some pariah and paste the blame there. . . blame the "enemies" . . . blame God. But never take the blame.
Because the media cannot forgive. It would cost them.
They know that the lies only work on fools. They don't have to convince the aware. They only have to convince enough fools to start a ruckus. Then they have maufactured their opportunity. The media will cover a ruckus. The media will post blame.
The media is a loose canon, and someone who can grab hold and aim it, can get what they want; and this is despite whatever the media may want.
Hello; Yes this is the way of these web sites. If a voice does not fit in with their approved dogma then an effort is made to silence those unfavored voices. More than youtube in my experience.
Hello; Yes and your list is good and more stuff can be added. I tend to assign a bit less blame to an elected official without a solid science or medical background and a lot more to the "experts" in the field who claim to know what's what. To me when a person takes the head job at the CDC, the NIH or any of the other alphabet health care agencies then they are by default making a claim to be the go to person. For one example, my personal preference would have been to be told there are not enough masks for all and that the ones available need to go to the front line health care workers. I can deal with even an unpleasant truth. After all I look into a mirror every day.
Hello; I do lie sometimes myself, such as saying "What a pretty baby you have ." I tried to give up lying some years ago and have done pretty good. I even get the concept of lying for a good cause, for example the controlled chaos you cite. I just disagree about the benefit resulting from the lies and misleading information from these "experts" or authorities about this covid19 outbreak.
Today was my food run for the week. I saw many more people without masks than with masks both at Wal-mart and at Kroger. Can I blame this on the lies and misinformation about masks from early on? No I do not have such knowledge. I do wonder if the deceit might have made a difference in how people act. I had my mask on today and started wearing a mask early on even back when the "experts" were saying we should not.
Hello; I also have been taking a D supplement for years. This was suggested by a PA and I have read some stuff suggesting D for seniors. I figure it falls into the category of things like regular exercise, eating decent food, not smoking and such. Things that help us stay healthy and able to fight off infections from being in a healthy state.
Hello; Yes to this and unfortunately much of the media has picked sides. They will twist or edit to make a story fit whatever agenda they favor. There was a reported example last weekend of how an interview featuring att. general Barr was edited to make it seem he said something he did not. I saw the unedited part and the edited part and the edited version did give a false impression.
Lol, I’m not a govt spokesperson. You can disagree all you want, the mask issue was never an issue with me as I knew the truth from the get go. I simply laughed it off, and waited for the about face that I knew was coming later. And then it did. It’s difficult to discuss the entire subject intelligently, or at least in depth, without this discussion becoming what it really is, which is typical politics. Same BS, different faces.
Oh, and those of you already taking vitamin D, make sure that you also take magnesium, along with K2. Taking D without magnesium is like driving a Mercedes, but never putting gas in the fuel tank. You won’t get too far. Magnesium has been recently proven to be just as important as D, for proper metabolism of vitamin D.
Hello; Fair enough. We have disagreed on things in the past and may again on other things. So far this time we are bring civil. You have surprised me somewhat, but I can acknowledge this.
We are on the same page regarding the masks. I also knew better from the start. Pretty sure I made a post about wearing a mask several weeks ago when I was still on probation.
A problem is pretty much everything has or can be made to have an aspect of politics. This disease has indeed devolved into the realm of politics in a heavy way. Therefore many of my comments are self edited in an effort to avoid getting into politics. Months ago I lobbied for a place away from the open forum on this site where folks could discuss such things. My preference was to expand the private conversations to have more than six participants. However some of us got a short lived area called the "TEST" area which was working fairly well. That TEST area functioned well enough for a few weeks.
