Eddie's not well need help.

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I already posted a link to Noga's recommended dosage for metronidazole. I've personally never used Octozin, so not going to comment further.
Other than, good luck.

Without knowing how much metro is in it, I cannot say for sure. (feeding metro is based by weight of the fish. I think RD. RD. has a link to Noga's recommendation for this). Do what has worked so far (1 tab correct?)

How big is 1 tab?

I know that CZ clear says not to feed the fish during the 2 pill treatment (at most 10 days of treatment). Since Eddie hasn't eaten in 3 weeks, I think he would be fine without being force fed food for about 1 week during treatment. I've had a 12" fish not eat 2 months before force fed medicine treatment, and it was fine during that period.
Yeah fair enough I won't add no food in the mix then. The tabs are a little bigger than a round paracetamol not huge but big enough. I don't think the active ingredient is metro I believe it's dimetridazole 0.085g per tab.

You can try "general cure" I forgot who makes it but I'm pretty sure it has metronidazole as an ingredient. You can usually find it at some fish stores. Just follow the instructions. It has helped me times before.
