Eheim 2217 bio media capacity

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Worrying about the inability of this dying nation to do something independently without being baby stepped through it is considered inadequate? I believe your research skills would be considered inadequate

You are 100% correct google is an awesone research tool i am soo sorry. Thanks for the tips. I really love it wad able to find your pic

Is the trolling really necessary? Seriously if you don't think the post was necessary or that more research could be done, did it really require all this crap? You've turned a thread that could have had a simple answer into a 3 page long trollfest. Thanks for copy pasting a screenshot, that would have transmitted your intent to be snide AND been productive. If you don't like the content of a thread, there is nothing compelling you to participate in it.

Jaws- Not exact science here obviously, but IIRC, I can stuff like 6-8 plastic pot scrubbers per tray on my 3-tray Sunsun 302s. I'd have your buddy get ~18-24 of them and see how it goes. Atleast their super cheap and multi-purpose.

I would suggest running the 2217, just how it comes set up, with the Mech rings at the bottom, then the foam pad, if you don't run a fine filter pad and the carbon pad you could add another liter or more of Substrat pro. Im sure you can run 6 liters of Substrat pro if that's all you wanted.

I would suggest keep the mech in there to keep the Substrat pro from getting really dirty. These filters are AWESOME bio filters as is, even in default configuration they aren't great mechanical filters. If you have 5 plus liters of Substrat pro you will have LOADS of bio filter media.

I like MFK for getting information. I also use the internet, but I don't use Google to find information. It was good for that once, when other search engines sucked or didn't exist! (I think it was maybe years ago), but compared to the alternatives it sucks now, imo.

Using Google, it was very hard to find the capacity using the phrase

"Eheim 2217 bio media capacity"

I gave up. Google seems less concerned about giving people the information they ask for than other search engines. This has been true for quite a while.

Using other search engines it was much easier. DuckDuckGo for example had the correct and exact answer in the second thread. Bing had the same link as it's third option. Google had it 8th.

This isn't unique in my experience.

I found that trying other search engines works best when the one you use sucks.

And imo Google is nothing like MFK or any decently run forum. Google is a giant phone book with a slew of unverified, unchallenged opinions scattered among some facts. Unfortunately, as noted above, it's not even a well organized phone book anymore.
