The best is when you're in the store buying fish and other people strike up conversation and are talking about tank sizes they have. Happened today. Some guy had a 12" gar in some small tank and the girl had a 35g and were talking how nice it would be to have a 75g tank.
LOL Seriously, I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to make them jealous with tank sizes.
As far as buying fish, I have the same addiction. I don't even buy fish I'm dying to have. I buy fish so others can't buy them now. I am a hoarder. FHA!!

Im not exactly sure how many tanks I have,Id have to count,
Luckily for me Its 25 miles to a small pet store and 50+ miles to the next nearest,keeps my shopping down a bit.
Most of my buying is at auctions anyway,driven 300+ miles round trip a few times to watch fish get auctioned for 6-10 hours in a row

I was helping my brother find a fish today (doesn't know what he wants) and I walked into a store and what did I see, a 
Panther Grouper , the only fish that could make me go to marine. I was like, "I could setup the 55 to hold it for 3-6mths then buy a 8'x3' for him, no, dont be stupid think of the $$ and lack of room and, but its a Panther Grouper". Luckily my brother dragged me out of the store.
Then down the road we went to another store, and my brother seen a Saratoga Jardini and he wanted it. The owner walked up asked if we need help, my brother said I want a Arowana. I jokingly pointed at a picture of a Super RED and said 'one of them'. He turned round and said I can order it in if you pick it up when it arrives
. They are illegal and this guy was willing to get one for me, in my mind I thought "remove grouper insert Super Red". I had to go sit in the car to calm down
