Ever feel odd about fish????

Me I see fish as a hobby and not pets. never gave a f@#k what some one else thinks. Never really talk about it since if they are not into fish they will not be interested anyways. When I feel odd I just look at my cousins who go to the casino 3 times a week and lost their house because of their so called "HOBBY". LOL I go to my lfs and there is always someone cool to do fish talk with.
 
I sometimes do feel odd, but my family is supportive and my parents love coming in to see the fish. Though when I got my first 4 footer (90 gallon) my GF told me it looked like a coffin lol... It's nice being one of the 3 "fish guys" at the LFS tho, they all know me by name and we talk fish every time I'm there. The fish dept. guy knows his stuff and has a 125, so it's a good outlet for me to physically talk to someone and ramble on about what I wish I could do haha.
 
I got used to to the comments and looks...once those people see my tanks, most understand. Beauty doesn't come cheap! LOL

people always think im crazy when i tell them about my fish but the second they see them they are amazed! and start asking a million questions. it seems like most people around here like fish, especially big strange fish. they are very intruged
 
I always got the craziest looks when I would tell people I had 14 tanks. It's all good though I don't mind. If they aren't into fish I'll just drop it and go onto something else.
