When they say polished edges they mean it's actually put through a machine that gives it a perfect polish...

If you have a few hundred thousand dollars spare I guess you could do it yourself

Also the glass is polished before it's siliconed togethor.

So your telling me there is no other way to polish a glass edge other then using that machine. If I remember correctly, you work with glass, how much should it cost to polish glass?

Yeah, but how far apart is everyone, I live in SA. A few of you guys live in QLD, I think that Kramer lives in WA (correct me if Im wrong).

As for prices, a guy at a crappy fish store told me today that for a 10x3x3 out of 15mm glass would cost me $10,000 (thats just the tank). I was so shocked I couldn't even think of anything to say and just walked out.

i can get large tanks relatively cheap...the guy uses old shop windows....cleans the glass up first...i got quoted with 12mm glass for an 8' -30"-30" for $1,800

I think polishing is around $50 a lineal metre.
