maybe just like the standard spinner lure they would use, cept they are usually about a foot long lol.
 
i mean ive seen the deep sea marlin fishers use just lures instead of live fish bait, but usually after one fish the lures are shot.

Love creek fish for trout. Never went ocean fishing (landlocked in PA). Every time I go out to the creeks, I catch at least 1 trout. Don't keep anything under 10in (7 in is limit in PA). Don't have a boat for the lakes, so I never got into bass fishing. In fact anytime I go to a lake I catch either bluegills or trout - I have a talent for catching trout.

Trout fishing is fly fishing?

I ask as have seen some in area fly fishing thus imagine you can use it for any fish as no trout here but not sure if you can catch trout using regular lures?

trout can go either way, fly or regular, and dynamite ;)
