sad but true. They serve their purpose I guess; but offer soo little to the aquarium hobbist. Beats a blank if there is nothing else around...of course a some of the time they are the reason nothing else is in town.Darth Scohin;4437998; said:Some Chains are peoples LFS....And everyone is different....

I think it happens more with fish as well, because it seems that a lot of people don't see fish as something that can know the difference between a tiny, dirty tank and the environment they should have in captivity. Or, well, I don't know, but I'm glad that it's a rule not to sell to someone if they're not capable of caring for the animal properly where I work. I don't think I could do the job otherwise, with some of the people who come in. Today's story: a young man came in, grabbed a 2.5 g off the shelf (nothing else), and wanted to put some piranhas in it.
Agreed. I've worked at a pet store for over 5 years now, and I try to talk people out of animals they will obviously neglect. Granted, this only works probably 1/4th the time, but I figure that if I warn them first then the animal's death isn't on my hands in the endDarth Scohin;4438167; said:I Actually am the opposite I do my best to discourage people buying fish that won't go in a healthy enviorment many times I succeed but others people just dont give a dace about fish. And "I dont care if it dies" I cant deny a sale so it urks and also makes me shed an emotional tear when I have to send a fish to its inevitable demise from JackA customers....
