My PetSmart has good employees and healthy fish. Got a good chuckle at watching the employee try to chase down pictus for me in the little bucket containers though

ok, so I started working at my regular LFS 2 weeks ago, and how cool is it that the first thing I thought of was "woohoo I can post some stories on MFK now!" well here I am with a few funny stories.
First, un-fish related, but still quite hilarious. We're having a slow day and a woman comes in and I go to ask her if she needs some help, since shes staring blankly at our large selection of dog & cat food. She explains she needs to find some cheaper food for her 5 dogs and 10 cats. I show her our cheapest pet foods, but she decides she's going to take as many sample of each food as she can physically carry to the counter. I fill up not one, but two paper bags of free samples before I realize she isn't accually going to buy anything. I excuse myself to check with my manager that she can accually take all this stuff without buying anything. He says two of each sample is ok, and I'm guessing this isn't her first time trying this because she has the exact limit. Sneaky *****! Then, to top it all off, she asks for an application. After shes gotten her loot and left, my manager informs me that we should make a note of what we think of people who ask for an app. I said "since your here, I'll just make it a verbal note. She was wearing a baggy stained t-shirt, holey sweats, didn't buy anything, but helped herself to every free sample we have." I thought that made my point decently enough =]

When I went to get my pictus at petsmart they netted it and it stuck on the net for two minutes with the employee trying to pull him off and got barbed a few times. Then I told him to try a plastic container and I finally got my pictus(not the one stuck on the net)Gervahlt;4444175; said:

I work at a local petsmart and live in ontario, ca as well. Which store do you go to
This has been a very entertaining read.
I've been working at a small pet store for the last 3 years. Have heard some pretty funny things. What I found the funniest was one customer who was having problems with his ph. Went something like this.
Customer: The ph in my tank is really low around 4, and I keep adding ph down and the ph just goes lower.
Me: Thats what ph down does, it lowers the ph or in other words causes the ph to go down.
Customer: Well I keep adding it and the ph just keeps going down, I don't get why.
Me: As I said that's what that product is designed to do. It lowers the ph.
Customer: So should I add more to get the ph up?
This went on for like 30 minutes, he just really didn't get it. Tried convincing him to stop adding that product and do some water changes.
Another time a customer came in and went straight to the fish section, they had been back there for a little while so I went to see if they needed any help. I see here with a net in a fish tank chasing something around, when I ask her what she's doing she says noting and quickly leaves. Think to myself just another idiot customer. I see something that doesn't belong in the one tank though, a clownfish swimming with some rainbows and a gourami that wasn't there before. Couldn't believe it, spent the next half hour scrutinizing each tank to see what else she might have decided would look better in another tank.

i bought a fx-5 and it didnt work so i told them about it because id had some technical difficulties there previously(thats polite for f... ups)and i also live an hour and a half from the store in another town and i explainded this to them and they brought me a new one and installed it
now im very happy
