Favorite LFS "CUSTOMER" STORIES ...

Bumping...I can't really think of anything overly interesting, just the usual idiots :). Some guy the other day bought an iguana, a 10g tank and screen, and some fish tank gravel...sigh, no one could get through to him about how much care the iguana needs.

Is it just me or should it be illegal for any box store to sell Iridescent Sharks?

-Its not fair to the fish:irked:;
-It's not fair to guys on the front-lines who have to deal with the uninformed:irked:;

...and it is definitely not fair to the guy or gal who has to sell the idiot the fish or lose his or her job :irked:.
 
was in my LFS today, thinking about buying some plants ... they keep fish with the plants, which I don't particulary like, since it exposes the plants to fish-borne diseases/parasites ... this time I noticed a dead fish in among the plants, and from the looks of it, it had been dead for at least a day ... it was pale, kinda fuzzy ...

I let them know about the dead fish, but it was kind of a turnoff to make any purchases ...

Yeah, I have a similar situation that happened today actually..

I was buying a Nic for my 90 gal, when I noticed in a few of the tanks, there were dead fish that had been dead for at least 2 days... Fuzzy, no eyeballs, chewed up...

When the assistant manager isn't there (he knows his stuff cold), nobody goes and checks the tanks for basic things like that, and it's sad :WTF:

But on the plus side, I got a beautiful 5" nic for under ten bucks because I'm one of their regulars :headbang2
 
^ perhaps, i saw the stripes but thought it looked a bit too orange for that - regardless WOW and if it is a tiger barb it shouldn't be the only one in there haha
 
Sad day yesterday....We've had this 7" Longfin Oscar for mabye 6 months(was 2") and got HITH. Customer came and bought him and a Pleco for his "130"gal...Why was it sad he said (since I told him no goldies) just guppies then. I told him pellets. He didn't even know what HITH WAS!:nilly::(
 
so an oscar has HITH, which they pretty much all do or will get? wow...........
