This thread helps me a bit knowing im not the only one who deals with these people that have no reguard for a fish's life.

No, that is exactly what happened.

Well, they are considered an Aphrodisiac. Maybe he was going to eat it and head back to the bar to pick up a date? Or the lucky lady was waiting in the car.

I hope she does not mind crayfish breath.....:naughty:

You would figure Oysters are easier to get

PS - I loved at petco when people would ask me to get one specific guppy out of at least 75 in the 90g "show" corner tank...

After 10 minutes they are getting what's in my net and they can help wring my shirt out.

Watched a couple walk in with their 3 kids, get a bag with 10+ feeder goldfish in it, then buy one of those "critter carriers" that holds maybe .75 gallons of water... And no filter...

Needless to say my buddy gave them no guarantee...

Hah...hah. I have feeder guppies at my store...people always for like 30 of the "bigger" or "smaller" ones or all females or all males. Usually I tell them no hand picks. But, the last time someone asked for 40 of the biggest guppies, I grabbed my net and bucket... and started catching one at a time on purpose, chasing them all over the place...took probably 5 minutes to catch 10 of them...and the guy goes uh, nevermind about the size thing, just give me 40. :grinno: Love it.

In situations like that I just hand the person a net and tell them to have fun :D

Nothing new, really, but ages ago I mentioned a jellyfish decoration, and we've just put one in a tank at work. It semi-floats, but is on practically invisible fishing line that is connected to a suction cup that you attach to the bottom of the tank and disguise with gravel. When the jellyfish decoration is positioned in front of flowing water, it is suspended mid-water and has some slightly realistic movement.

Seriously, guys, you all need to get these in your stores and put one in a display tank. We have ours set up in our GloFish tank. We get CONSTANT laughs from all the people who think they're real. It's hilarious. My favorite is when you overhear customers arguing with each other about whether they're real, and then they argue about who's going to ask the employee! If you're needing a daily laugh at your LFS, add some jellyfish decorations. :)

...Also, once people realize they're decorations, we sell them like hotcakes!!
