This isn't a fish story. But the customers that came into the store I work at, seemed to be in their fifties. Anyway I asked the lady if she wanted some help, she says no because her friends are getting the fish they want. Now, I happen to see one of her friends come in at least once a week and at least one of them tries to be educated about the fish he keeps.

As I am taking out the garbage to the curb, I hear her ask them if they have ever ate talk treats. So one of the guys says "No, have you?"'

Now here's the thing. She actually responds that yes, she used to do it when she was little.

I know that dogs and people are not to far removed. So that even if she really ate them, she would not be effected. But still.

Dog treats, anyone?

Back when I was in gradeschool, there was this kid that would always carry around dog treats and munch on them throughout the day. :screwy:

at petco i bought my freind eddia a bag of cookie from their "cookie" bar he said they were great.

The Petco guy selling his customer a saltwater set-up......the guy had his fish, small tank, and other stuff. The Petco guy hands him the salt he needs for saltwater. Well he handed him API treatment salt. Said that is what you use!!!!! I just ****ing lost it. I guarantee that guy was a little upset when his fish died!

that feeder gets pretty big if it's well taken care of....

+1 for crazy people. we have a girl that comes into our store all the time and just follows me around and talks and talks and talks....with her half shell helmet on.......from the red scooter she rides.......that matches her red uniform from wendy's. we just call her wendy's girl. she always have to take about 10 minutes every time to hunch over to our south american display tank and bob up and down and around, and keep saying "they follow my helmet, they love my hemet". at which point i always hide behind the counter and laugh till i puke.

i tried to give my friend a "cookie." he wasnt fooled my the TetraVeggie Algae Wafer.

I was down at my LFS today. This guy with his girlfriend(or maybe wife) was waiting while an employee was fishing out a stingray for them. But the looks of it, they have no clue how to keep one. So when the guy finally decides to ask the employee how he should take care of it, he leaves the fish with his girlfriend. She starts poking the bag rather hard and ray gets freaked out. I dont know if her nails did it or the spine of the ray did it, but the bag popped and she like spazzed out lmfaoo. Water was all over her. And she just storms out pissed off as if it wasn't her fault. The fish was released from the bag and picked up and thrown back into the tank....theres some really stupid people out there...

Actually thats not a bad story thats a good one. Just think that will be the luckiest feeder on the planet.

I had a lot of people in the store who would want something like a goldfish, and then tell me that it's going in one of those 5gal bowfronts. I would say they need something bigger and when I even point at a 10 gal to say "at least start with this" they would say "oh man, that is a big tank! I just wanted a colorful small tank for my daughter to have a goldfish in their room."
