Favorite LFS "CUSTOMER" STORIES ...

i went into one of my lfs's and i was getting sw fish, and while i was talkin to a female employee we were walking through the freshwater section, i said, "wow you guys have tons of exotic plecs!"
i thought it was pretty cool, and i love plecs. they had easily 10 different plec species there.
the employee says "yeah, i know..."
she sounded like she didnt want the store to have any plecs at all. it was kinda funny.
another day when i was in that lfs, i was talkin to a employee, and i was lookin at saltwater fish, and i saw a wrasse. there were several different wrasse species in the tank, and in the corner of the tank it was written, "assorted wrasse". i was joking with the employee a bit and said "hey what species of wrasse is that?" and he said
"assorted." he was joking though and we both laughed. it ended up being a species that would get too big for my tank.

The same LFS that carries the dyed fish also has "miscellaneous shark eggs." They're actually labeled that way. I think it's funny, because you can at least tell me what's inside -- it shouldn't be a surprise! LOL I think miscellaneous sharks are the best.
Believable, if it had a decent lighting system. also, thats a good price for any of the 29gal nano/biocube tanks.Bee0912;3485178; said:
I was at the LFS today getting food/Prime and this kid who looked like he was 12 but was 16 i guess b/c he was driving. Was getting a brand new 40g tank kit, which is cool but he got super pissed when the owner wouldnt sell him the Zebra plec to go in it. The kid was like "wtf I have the money for it" and the LFS owner tried to explain the N cycle and even said "you can buy it, and Ill hold it for you. Ill even send you home with some established media to get the tank cycled and some bettas to keep it rolling but I wont let you take that fish home until you bring me a good water sample at least 2 weeks from now" Kid got pissed and left. +1 for the LFS
would have been a nice sale though 
I love this lol i was in my LFS today and this lady was in there and shes like, "I dont like the bettas so im gunna get a red fish for chelsea lol.
