You say the law about chickens in California is stupid but then wonder why the price of eggs goes higher. To redo or build a new barn will cost those farmers millions and people believe they should just suck it up. There a also laws in Europe regarding what size tank and the environment for aquarium fish is this okay. Think about it who do you want making these regulations because they might be easy to meet today but what about next year.
I am telling you all now the reason these laws are being made is the animal rights and they won't be happy until no one can own an animal. Years ago I was watching a talk show there was an animals rights person on there saying owning animals should be banned. The host said but you own a pet dog and the woman said no that is my companion animal. Ever since that time you will notice the word pet has changed to companion animal. So don't sit back and say new regulations for chicken barns are ok because your aquarium will be next. All of these problems are not across the pond they are here we are all in denial.
