Festae finally breeding!

They definitely look like top notch f1s. Are you leaving babies w/ parents or sucking them out? I wanna match my wild female w/ my wild male, but he's so big and rough and she's spawning w/ that other male. I need to pic my friend Will's brain. He's been into FESTAE forever and knows a lot more detailed information than I do about physical characteristics as they apply to origin, whether it be Equadorian, Colombian or Peruvian. I'm shipping my first fry soon. If it goes well we can swap a handful.

yeah I see what your saying. My females are more to the orange then red. But they do vary from day to day through out the breeding process. My male also has a very pretty green metallic sheen on his face. I have seen other males that are red orange on there face, more like my female

I would like that. I need to check on shipping. Let me know how it goes. I have never shipped before Im not sure where to start.
 
I am leaving some fry with the parents so they can have the experience of raising them, but Im removing most of them. I would say about 3/4 of the spawn is being moved.
 
This is the female from the second pairing guarding her eggs. They spawned last night.

This is the male from the second pair on patrol while the female is guarding the fry. He didn't like me standing in front of their tank.
