festae pictures and transformation

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats definitely a festae. If you raised one then you would know the difference. Mayan doesnt even come close.

We already talked about don't need your two cents and yes I have had both but they were already 6 inchs. The pic quality is kind of deceptive, not an issue so relax and what I meant to say the first post was it looks like a mayan, that's what I meant by deceptive photo

Since this is a forum, I believe everyones 2 cents are welcome. Your 2 cents was well received and disproved. Done deal. Its happened to everyone and you learn. No one is claiming you havent raised both.Im sure you have. but by the looks of this thread it looks like it was a known fact that the fish in question is a Festae. The question was only about gender.

i was going to go make another guess my sex thread but ill cut the chase somewhat short. ive posted this fish many times and got the same response every single time. is this male or female? answers will come tomorrow afternoon.
So does it turn into a male, or just get red? The anticipation is killing me

Mayan? Not. Female? Probably. Male? Eh, perhaps.
Sell it to me and I'll discover her sex.:grinno:
Here's some Eye Candy. Anyone wanna take a shot at the sex of these?

Wow! Nice fish! I'm guessing a female?

I second that, You never kept the two or you would realize the difference. Even the most washed out festae cant be confused with a Mayan. Personal preference I dont even bother with the mayans any more once I got my first festae. no offence to the urathamus owners and I've seen some really clean ones but I cant do them .
