I would give it a day,but keep an eye on it as they can move and even come off and end up in the grvel somewhere. Best way to do it is net him and hold him while in the net and move the net away from where the louse is and remove it...sometimes you only need a few seconds, but hold the fish in the net so he doesnt thrash about...flip the net and take it off....get him back in the tank and stay away so he doesnt stress anymore that your coming back for another netting...lol
The qt tank is bare so hopefully Ill be able to see it if it falls off.
I think Im going to add some salt as a precaution. I usually dose my tanks with salt at a ratio of a tbls/5gallons of water. Should I do the same for him?
JD_MAN, Im pumped. I cant wait till he is a beast!
For now a 29. I expected him to be tiny like many other members received. Since he is larger Im going to leave him in there for another day or two to make sure Ive removed all parasites and that he is eating then Ill throw him in the 125.
My ultimate goal is to have him, a nice motoro, and black aro in an 8x3x2 with in the next year and a half.
Here is a full tank shot to get an idea of his size. He is sitting in the back of a standard 29gallon tank. I also added some salt and removed the Bio-wheel 350B that I was running with just the wheels and replaced it with a Rena XP-3.
