Fire eel in a 125 with other fish?

Are there any brightly colored or very dark eels that would do well in a 125? I am not a fan of the brownish ones... I like the snowflake, but everyone seems to be arguing about whether it is freshwater or not...

Not really, which is why I bought a Fire Eel in the first place. With the ZZ/Peacock don't look so much at the color but rather their pattern.

In regards to the Snowflake, it's a moray and from reading posts and digging up info on other sites, they will require full marine. Have heard of some stores selling them as freshwater but it's just not true.

I remember reading about an orangish eel here a few weeks ago, I'll see if I can't dig that thread up. Found it here, couldn't find much info when trying to google em, could always PM the owner about tank size, tank mates, etc. and see what he recommends if you like the looks of that one.

if it has the face of a moray, it's a saltwater eel that can tolerate fresh water for a period of time.

try looking for swamp eels, they're smaller, freshwater, indestructible and would do great in a 125. their color is highly variable too.
