that actually sounds like a good stock i would do even numbers for the fisremouths, odd for tiger barbs so they dont breed, and corys are bottom dwellers so yeah that sounds great.

Yeah I might do something along these lines... Should look rather good. Could even mix up some Regular tiger barbs with greens and albinos to add some variety.

maybe try some black gravel or sand with a dark backround. all the fish color would pop. maybe do anatural set up natural pebbles a couple plants some drift wood.

ask ANYONE on here... they will tell you a 55 is way to small.. your 30 and 29 is way over stocked.... for some one stating an oscar is ok in a 55, sure has some overstocked/fish that dont belong in small tanks..
not arguing with you either dogg.. any smart fish keeper would know a 55 is to small..

OP, dont do an oscar in a 55.. oscars need atleast a 75 min..

1 severum 1 firemouth ( MAYBE one more smaller cichlid, like a rainbow cichlid ) with one huge school or two smaller schools and 8 corys.

if you have more then 1 firemouths, they will breed and push/abuse the odd firemouth.. i dont think he wants any fish that will breed..... i would stick to one firemouth.

I want a breeding pair of firemouths. so That is why i'm looking to grab a couple of them and hope they pair up. Have never bred fish before and I feel like this would be a good place to start.
