damn dude two more?????? how bout you pick one up for me and ship to an FFL. ill pay the transfers :naughty: thats is of course, youd have to ship w/o the mag and pistol grip

im sure he was just kidding guys!!!!!!! no onew could be that inhumane ...i prefer the 375 hh....and the 300 hh personaly ..i couldnt turn up on the estates and ranches/farms with an ASSAULT RIFLE and for mee are about as much use as t*ts on a fish!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need a completely different tool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I wish I could own an assualt rifle. They are too expensive and too rare. I will jsut have to stick with my semi-auto clones. :(

I would have plenty of uses for an Assualt rifle though!
 
what do you want a .308 for in Illinois? my fav gun is a pre-64 Winchester Model 70 .264 Win Mag. I use it for elk and you need a .308 for deer or whatever? My uncles have shot deer at 1000 yards w/ .264's (back in PA before my time)...very very flat-shooting. Not being rude, just curious. Of course, you would have to buy used and ammo isn't exactly the easiest to find. What's wrong with a 270 or 7mm Mag? 30-.06 isn't bad either as others have said. Maybe I'm just lost in this thread and have no idea what I'm talking about a/o totally off the topic :D

I don't know enough about military rifles, so I can't say anything there.

I can smell that bull hockey from all the way over here. 1,000 yard kill shots....:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:

A .308 is a superb round for big Illinois deer as well as range use!

i agree .....i do use a 338 lap mag on 1000yd military ranges (falling plates,fig 11) but its NO WAY for hunting deer !!!!!!!!!!!!realisticly in a 500 year old woods with trees 18" appart you cant see 100yds !!!!!!!!! let alone 1000...and the african bush is the same !!!!!!!! its also very irresponsible to take ridicilous shots on ANY animal at distances you cant even see with insufficient calibres!!!!!!!!!!! at a 1000yds with .308 win you wouldnt even see the target in your scope!!!!! allowing for wind you would be looking about 35 feet high and 25 ft left or right of the target !!!!!!!and NO ONE is capable of rubbish like that OFF HAND SHOOTING with sporting rifles!!!!!!!!!!!!! not even annie oakley !!!!! LOL
