Not sure if I should comment on this thread, see, I'm divorced, have been for a few years now. My ex lives about 3 miles away and up untill I bought my house we lived in the same house having both moved to SC a couple of years after the div (long story but we never broke off communication completely and still 'cared for each other' a lot).
Anyway, when I got into fish keeping last year she started with the "your obsessed" and "you like your fish more than me" stuff, my answer we're divorced, we each have our own lives and our own houses.
Tonight we're expecting a snowstorm (most of you probably had this one today already) and for upstate SC that means one thing - no going to work tomorrow and a strong possibility of power outages. She wanted me to go stay at her house I said no I need to be here if the power goes out, and in any case, if the roads are not driveable she will work from home, me, if I don't get into work I don't get paid. She went through her whole repertoire : "you can go to work from here", "what can you do anyway if the power goes out", "you're obsessed", "you like your fsih more than me" etc etc. So, we're not talking, again, and maybe by the end of the week she'll call and tell me how much I hurt her and I'll apologise like the wimp I am, cos I don't want yet another argument!
My advice to the OP, it's really your call, but be prepared to suffer the consequences if you take them down before Feb 15th (my birthday by the way

) and she takes it as a personal insult, it's not the big fights that end a marriage, it's the constant little ones that cause the most damage.
ps, it better be a bloody good snowstorm!
