FISHING SEASON 09!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was at work earlier and seen that the D&R wasn't frozen. So I got up the nerve to walk through the snow and deal with massive pieces of ice floating down with the current. I only lasted about 45 minutes. The only sign of life I seen was a decent 5-7lb carp that swam by( I tried to snag it).

Thats always fun :nilly:

Well I wasn't able to get much fishing time in today maybe 1.5 hours but I got 10 Bass, of which only two were worth taking pics of. But as luck would have it I left the bag with the camera in it, at a friends place and won't be able to post the 2~3 pics that I shot until tomorrow afternoon.

Everyone have a Very Merry Christmas and I will be posting those pics sometime tomorrow afternoon. And for those of you that maybe wondering, and for those of you that maybe wishing they where fishing instead of dealing with family and the presents and the nonsense that is Christmas, know this I will be fishing on Christmas Day! :D MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Yes, Merry Chrismas to everyone!!!!

At the moment I'm three quarters finish my pint of remy and enjoying the day!! For new years the wife and I are going to the party at the Camden aquarium, anybody close by come out and enjoy the party with us, it's hosted by the radio station 96.5!!

Sorry I was unable to post on Christmas day the pics from the day beforeand the pics for Christmas day, way too much stuff happening. I was able to make time to fish on Christmas afternoon. Total time fished 2hrs fish caught 11 Bass all of which where small fish the largest being around 2+ lbs.

The above three Bass are from the Bass caught on Christmas day, 11 in all where caught. Note I did ask Santa this year for a 10+lbs bass for Christmas, but there are still a few more days to come. 12 Days of Christmas right? Hopefully I get my wish, but if not I'll have a great time trying.

Now as for yesterday Fishing was a bit wild, my guide Jersey Jack was pulling up everything from Tilapia to Turtles, a Wild day.
Fishing072copy.jpg

Jersey JAck's first Bass of the day was caught on a Spinnerbait, the rest of the Bass will in the boat on the lake only went for Rattletraps, with a jerky retrieve. And on one of those jerky retrieves he has the largest softshell Turtle I've ever seen in Florida, hit his trap. What a freakin mess turned into trying to free the Turtle, it was to large to bring into the boat to dehook it so I had to do it while it was in the water.

Then two cast later a Tilapia hits the trap.

All Jersey JAck's Bass where hitting his Shad Rattletrap that I don't have. :irked:

While we were out on the boat I only got 3 Bass, I caught the other 11 Bass after lunch while when we walked a lake. I was throwing my new Spro Popping Scum Frog and then later the regular Spro Scum Frog.

You know anytime you wanna come down & see if you could beat either of us, I'll be available to fish until Jan 5Th, 2010. And while we don't fish for money we take on offers of loser buy lunch or dinner and or a good bottle of Cognac. So unless your enjoyiing the snow hop a flight down and lets fish, from the Bank or in a Boat or Kayaks on gator infested lakes I've done it all. Or if you can make it this trip then yoou can come down another time Jersey JAck gives tours, 100% garanteed if you don't catch fish then the service is FREE!

Well I can't make there right now but I just pulled up to bakers basin. So stay tuned!!!

Well abort that mission, the canal was unthawed but very muddy and the basin was still frozen over. Well disappointment has sat in but I think I want to try one more spot!!

Might go fishing tonight, see if I can't get some decent yellow fin bream or flathead to add to this thread before 2009 is over.
