Went out last night. Caught some nice bluegill and crappie on a 3" floating rapala. I had a pike go for it too but he missed. It was probably a 22-25" northern. Caught one small bass too. Sorry, no pics

went to lake shabonna in shabbona, il, and we caught a nice sunburn....

the crappies were "biting" according to the bait shop, but i didnt see a single stringer on any boat either. hooked into a nice channel cat, but the hook came off when he broke the surface.

not so much earth worms but ive caught bass multiple times walleye fishing with night crawlers. when i troll crawler harnesses i catch them and when i am fishing with a walleye jig with a half a night crawler on as bait i catch bass.

I dont have a boat .
I fish canals mostly for cichlids or some times ponds fed by canals by EverGlades park edge.
I do see guys with boats who I imagine target bass stopping at bait shop to buy earthworms and shiners.

a 12-18" piece of line with beads/blades followed by 2-3 hooks to hook an entire nightcrawler. Endless amount of color combinations.

Live bait works but for bass i do beleive its cheating. Plus im a power fisher man, meaning i fish fast so throwing a bobber and just waiting is BORING to me.

Yesterday we decided to take the boat out to a new lake today. We knew about this lake for 3 years now but had only fished it from the shore a couple times. Its what ill call a big lake. I banged a small bass and a CP soon as we were on the water(around 7:50AM). My next fish was caught out of some lillys on the buzzy, this 3.0 pounder came running down on the buzzy and straight murdered it . I caught a bunch of little ones until around 11:45. I was slowing working my 10" and tip/tip BAM i got a good hook set. Once the fight was on i told big bruh this is a monster it sure was, a nice 3.4 pounder. Big bruh was finally able to catch one on the buzzy.

3.0,3.4, and 2 two pounders=4 keepers plus 9 little ones. It was a excellent day for me .

Wow never heard of that. Would have thought something like that would scare fish off as sounds gaudy and unrealistic looking.

Oh than you not a cichlid canal man lol unless PB because usually its throw out bait with bobber and wait.
