ryverrat;3150920; said:Try trout fishing in a well fished area- trout are not stupid. Have had them grab bait and the minute they feel the line they spit it out. Have also watched them roll a baited hook along the bottom to knock the bait off- definitely had to think a little to do that (was paste power bait). Some fish are not as smart (gouramis come to mind) but wild fish do have to think or they become dinner for something else.

The bass are smarter then people think tho, cause once their eggs hatch the go into what i call fry protecting mode. I have seen the bass pick my worm up but not swallow it and just move it.
