I woke up bored so i decided to take a 35 minute ride to check out this new pond i seen while lost looking for the first spot big bruh and i fished on Sunday.

Soon as i got there i had a small one on but he got off :irked:. I went on to landed two small bass before i gave up. Both fish were caught on the buzzy.

Didint catch anything to brag about but atleast i know this new pond i founded has some fish in it. :headbang2.

Nice fish (both caught and in aquarium).

I went fishing today in my pond (yet again lol), and I caught the same 18 in. catfish twice on a hotdog on a circle hook lol. Since it was raining he tried "walking" away when I got him out of the water lol. Sorry, no pics due to rain.

Thanks!!!!

Smallies are fun to fish for too, but not much luck after the spawn, even in my pond (except for the occasion cast that goes astray and lands in a nest ball). I try to avoid casting in or near my smallies nests in my pond; I know of two, and I found the first one by accident when I cast into it and got one angry 18 in. mama bass lol.

Anyone have any luck with Storm Wildeye Curl Tail Minnows (3", 1/8 oz.) or Strike King Cochran's Lil' Mr. Money fishing for bass in rivers?

I never heard of those lures but floating rapla's work very goog if u have a grass line. I can catch smallies in the river on a number of lures buzz baits, spinner baits,YUM dingers, lipless cranks/rattle traps and x-raps or husky jurk baits.

I just took a look at ur pond, good stuff boss. Knowing me i would probaly over stock it. LOL!!!

Went fishing the other day at my cousin's pond, caught 12 Large Mouth's in under an hour. Caught one of them 3 times, i just kept dragging the bait through it's nest. I've never had a better fishing day in my life.

I was using some ancient pole that made this grating noise when you reeled it in, and a cigarette butt for bait. It was like a perfect day for fish. I can't imagine what i would have caught with a suitable pole and some helgies. Also caught a damn big catfish, which i swore was a bowfin when i was reeling it in.

Taking my driver's license test tomorrow, and that means i can fish every morning i don't have work. I'll be visiting this thread quite a bit more now. ;)

Pics of one of the smaller bass i caught and my cousin fondling it. And then the catfish that i couldn't get a decent picture of before it snapped the line and took my only hook and cigarette butt. That ended fishing for the day.

I went fishing in my pond today (yet again lol) for about 30 minutes.

I caught a 16" female SMB on a Cochran's Lil' Mr. Money spinner :D and my turtle on a hotdog on a 1/0 octopus circle hook :irked:. It's a good thing thing the hook was too big for the turtle to swallow or it would've taken much longer to get her unhooked; it took 30 minutes to get her unhooked when my dad caught her before on a long shank hook, only 5 minutes this time. I need to bring my big stock tank over there to useas a live well because releasing one smallie back into the pond after catching it tends to shut down the whole school :irked:.
