Contest update-36-20(im up)
Well today was a monumental day being that it was Big Bruh and I first bass tournament!!!
The contest was from 7-11pm. It was $20 a head and 14 people fished tonight. So the biggest fish wins the pot of $280.
Once we were on the water Bruh began fishing while i did some electrical work on the live well hook-up. On my first cast i banged a 14"er on the spinny. Shortly after i banged another small one. My next was a nice 3.4.!! He was the first fish to hit the live well!! Bruh letting one off get was are last action we seen for the night. Around 1030 I started seeing people leaving so i thouoght we had a good shot.
6 fish where weighed in. My 3.4 was the smallest, one dude beat me by 7 ounces, it was a few four pounders mixed in and 5.11 took the prize!!
For are first trip out ill say we did ok seeing that 8 people coundnt even make weigh in.
Sorry no pics, during the heat of the battle i wasnt going to waste time taking pics and Bruh released it before i thought about. My mind was stuck on the weigh in.

Decided to take the boat out to are "Lakewood" spot today. Cause of the first fish coming in just 15 minutes of being on the water and it being a monster 4.2 i landed from about 70ft away, we throught it was going to be a good day but it wasnt. I was only able to land 2 more and Bruh finally got one before we called it quits. On the way home we have to pass 2 of are old shore spots so we hopped out at both of them.
The first spot is a stained lake that we have had some decent days on. We only stayed for 30 minutes and Bruh was able to land a baby(8"s). We hopped back in the truck and went right up the street to the next spot.
This body of water is only 6 years old and we have gotten some nice 4 pounders out it before. Its man made so no matter how much it rains the water still remains clear. I was able to land one small one on the popper before are fishing day was done.
Very slow day but atleast I hit the 4lb club!!!!!

Went to see the inlaws up north thurday, so i figured I'd take my flyrod and see what I could pull out the local lake. Got this cool little smallie on a woolybugger.

Nephew wanted to go fishing, so at 7:15am we were!!
I landed one right off the back,then another. Then the bite slowed down a bit. I would catch one every so often but they were all small. My nephew did alittle better today, i mean he wasnt catching but he tried aliitle harder. His first action came after he opened a bait i never used before. The dancing eel by yum. My other nephew showed it to me last time we went fishing, i said to myself with the way it swims that the CP's would go crazy over it, so i picked up one last week. Sure enough when we came a cross a nice little cove with a tree right in the middle of it i throw the buzzy over it nothing but when my nephew threw the dancing eel over by it BAM a big CP jumped right on it but he didnt swing the fish in the boat. The nice 4lb+ CP shock and cut the line with his teeth. The fish got away and took my brand new lure
. I was only supposed to fish until 3 but by then i only had landed 8 little ones. So i said "forget that i need a big one". After that i landed 4 more and my nephew was able to land his first. Number 13 was what i was waitting for, this 3.9lb'er straight murdered the buzzy. I caught one more on the way back to the baot launch.
A long, kinda slow day but i got my big one!!!!

After working 10.25 hrs and going to do a small side job($100), i decided to go mess around at the D&R canal before it got dark.
I did a mile both ways i was able to land 2 LMB and 2 SMB. The second little guy i caught hit the buzzy so hard i thought he was a monster. I let a SUPER small CP(4-5"s) get off. Now that i think about i landed the LMB going up stream and the two smallies walking down stream. All fish were landed parallel to the bank i only had one bite throwing it straight across and bringing it in. The canal is usually were i go when i just want to catch some fish and enjoy a decent walk.
Nothing big today but i love the canal!!!
