SPOTS FISHED-1

TIME FISHED-5 HRS

FISH LANDED-I-5/Andre-1

Was shooting for ten but fishing didnt began until 10:30. Once I pulled up to set up the boat, a dude pulled up(Andre). We started talking and he was from philly but was in the area visting family, so I invited him on the boat.

All last night I was reading up on "winter bass fishing". Every single article said the same thing and that was be SLOW, fish SLOW, and think SLOW.

So starting off I tried jigging, bullet weight with rubber, and dinger hooked finesse. My shipmate was tring to catch crappie with a bobber-jig head combo. The first action came when he got bit off by a CP soon as he tried to set the hook.(LIGHT BULB) Once I seen that I said forget that SLOW presentation. I pulled out the newest member of my arsenal(MAPPS #5) Bam small CP jumped right on it. Andre followed up was small bass. My second was a decent bass that came running out a brush pile about 20ft up shoreline. Around 12:30 I banged my third. We did some moving around and ended up in a big flat where all the lillys used to be. We had been through there twice already and seen no action. But now that I was on the "in-line", it was different. Since the water is higher now I ripping it right above the submerged lillys & grass. Bam decent CP banged on it in about 12"s of water. My final fish of the day came as I was just casting and casting the "MAPPS" in a fan attack.

November 29th, the water not getting over 47.6 and I still got 5, Im calling it a good day!!!!

P.S.-Im also including two pics I took at a "LFS" of a nice convict!!

its a cr. marmorata

That could be but In that group once they become adults they seem to favor alot. Example lents & marmoratas can be confusing to I.D.
