I saw that CF had the last post in this thread, and I was thinking, if this guy goes fishing right now, he's off a rocker

I think I might go walleye fishing tonight, might be cold enough for good ice by tomorrow

Might borrow my friends good boat with a fish finder and go deep jigging for bass.

The fishing has slowed down due to drop in temp today and all the rain plus cold front coming in for few days . We are going to get 60 degree nights here imagine colder by you and that is enough to shut the fishing down other than sunfish.

For PB yes!, For LMB No!

I was catching Miyans /Jags yesterday as was mid 80s sunny and maintenance guy from work caught 2 - 6 inch PB but today nothing not a bite .
Coming week will be dead but not sure how it will be for what you go after LMB.

We got on the water at 8:05am and it was a chilly windy 52F degrees. I had a jacket on and socks with my sandals. The boat was getting blown up the lake at a steady rate.

Thats a lot of bass to catch in a day. I have never caught a large LMB only PB . The lmb they go near the lure but dont hit it just chase it .

Whats alot of Bass?, 28 between 3 ppl (Jack 10, his son 8 and me 10) the first day out, 34 the next day between 2 ppl (Jack 20 and me 14) or todays 52 Bass between 2 ppl. (Jack 32 to me 20).

Jack's first fish, talk about eyes being bigger than your stomach:

My First Bass and you can see I'm still half asleep and chilly:

Followed shortly by another:

And then a few small guys started coming up.

It should be noted for all those gear heads out there that jack fished a chub bug popper, weightless worming, inline spinner, spinnerbait and rattletrap. I used a rattletrap, spinnerbait and inline spinner - (which I just wasn't feeling it with today).

Then we broke for lunch and returned to fishing on foot walking a few canals and lakes, those pics are next.

After lunch at Yoders, we headed to the city of lakes and canals
where we fished in the afternoon 2 days prior. After lunch it was about 60F degrees.

Where we ripped them up for 3 hrs on Rattletraps and Spro Frogs.
Total time spent fishing todat was 7hrs, total Bass caught 52. Now that's a good day fishing.


Tomorrow we'll only be fishing for a few hours so we'll see what we catch then.

Thats cold it was 60 something here yesterday . I went by the canals caught same ole same ole minus gars .

You had a good day of fishing. I didnt think you were going to catch much as know difference in temp from Miami towards N part of state can be 10 - 20 degrees and thought would be to cold and rainy by you to catch much.

To cold for me now will wait till temps go up again to min high 70s. Funny how that little bass hot a lure close to his size.

Went out this morning at 7:30am until 11:30am should have stayed home,
ended up with a monster migraine by 12:30pm. Didn't really feel like fishing
this morning, but went out anyway. It was COLD out there this morning,
especially when the wind kicked up. I had on a long sleeve shirt, windbreaker
jacket and my new fishing vest - Jack, instead of the windbreaker had a sweatshirt on.
Bad news I haven't gotten my flu shot yet , good news we caught 20 Bass in 4 hrs
, not so good news I only caught 2 of the twenty .

Inline spinners where the hot lure of the day, though I did get my second
Bass and several other hits on a Spro Frog. I just couldn't hook up with them.
Supposed to be about 41F degrees tonight, so will see what happens tomorrow after lunch.
