Hello, my flowerhorn is kinda weird in terms of behavior it's been banging itself on something in the tank from my guess, because there's always this raised area on its body and sometimes it looks fresh as in reddish and bloody-ish. In the vid you'll see the new raised area it's blistered
Like if it was a flash it would not look like this at all cause I've seen her flash before and it didn't hurt her. It is more likely she's hitting herself against my equipment or the glass or sumn I haven't caught her in the act yet but everytime I watch from afar or from angles she doesn't see me she acts normal
this fish playing games.
As for parasites, I don't think she has any flukes as I treated her with fenbendazole 3 months ago. I Believe she's becoming more aggressive over the past few days and weeks, once I came home my family told me that the sponge filter in her tank became dislodged as in when I came home it was lying on its side and the airline tubing floating on the surface
.
Why I have seen her doing this big boss swimming motion like picking up a fight with a fellow fish although she's alone where she wags her self side to side with her fins stretched and biting my sponge filter heck even the sand?
Is it possible this is a personality trait that FHs have? I know they're aggressive, but on themselves? That's the first case of self harm I've seen on a fish
.
Bumps vid on her body kinda looks like an injury/trauma and has blistered and I see some redness and bruising and some elevation on the other side without the bumps.
