WOW love the kamfa fh, does the tile have like a wood pattern on it? So do you recommend to put dark tiles instead?
Here ya go lol found a pic of 2 Thai Silk Fader's for ya. Least to say they aren't exactly my cup of tea. Not a huge fan of that line as fader's.They do when they are young, pearls take it over and black pigments don't show but there are black pigments in some amount. There are thai silks that fade and look different than normal ones. I will try to find picture of one.

Also yes you are correct in the fact that thai silks will start out with natural colors and pattern. From what I was told, Thai Silks are technically just mutations of the ZZ Red Dragon line that were line bred to eventually look like a Thai Silk.

This guy here makes me think of how thai silks might've been made. I'd so love to get a FH that looks as good as this guy does. Thanks, they do look weird at first, still few people like those.
+1 on thai silks being produced from regular flowerhorn types. They just fry that went full throttle somehow.

Yeah I'd agree that the kok should be a bit smaller but I would say that this guy here over all could make ya quite a rich man if ya go the competition route. I'd also say that he could use a day or 2 off from the buffet lol, slim down that tummy a just a lil bit. That guy is beauty, I would prefer a smaller hump but still a masterpiece.
Agree, pearly fish produce even more pearlier fry and that's how thai silks are made. Actually those are mistakes not intentional as per few, the whole batch doesn't come out as thai silks unless parents were thai silks.

Now I have a question about pearl coloring. Most FH's tend to have either blue or white pearling while Kamfamalau's tend to have greenish pearls but what would cause pearls to become orange? Only reason I ask is because my female fader has some pearls that are orange instead of blue, the majority of em are still blue, and I'm hoping to breed this trait into future generations and possibly expand upon it and maybe someday make a FH strain with only orange pearls. I got a couple pics of her to show what I mean.
