Flowerhorn white/clear poop week three

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
No. The carbon has been out since I first began with the Metro.

They can be either absorbed or passed. Fish sometimes go off feed during treatment, so that initself doesn't necessarly mean anything. My suggestion would be to stop treating for a week and see if the fish comes back to normal. It's been treated for a while now and should be reasted from further treatment. Keep the water clean and see how it responds.

O.K and thanks. He's been treated non stop for more than a month with three different meds.. I'll change the water and put my carbon back in and give it a week.

Tonight I did a 60% water change and put carbon back in the filters. I rinsed the media, but didn't super clean it
. I also syringe fed the fish just food. No meds about 6to8 pellets mushed up. He really gobbled it up and spit out very little. I found a little rubbery, clear "poo".

Give him some time. It's a good sign he ate the food, let his digestive tract settle down a few days.

O.K. I REALLY appreciate your help in this matter. Whatever the outcome. Thanks. ED

This weekend it'll be one week of clean, unmedicated water with both Fluval 303s running at 100% with carbon, too. If he still isn't eating and still doing the white poo, what then should I do? The poo doesn't hang. If that matters. I never see him pooping...and he's in a living room tank. There is nothing on the bottom and then there's some clear, whitish, yellowish, poo. Some where between mucous consistency and semi rubbery. Usually, it's somewhat stringy. The photo looks like there are tiny bubbles or dots attached. There are not. By the way, I've got a LOT of metro! Something tells me that I don't need it this time......I still have a supply of Metro., Kanamycin and the Prazipro...

I don't know. This would indacate some type of consapation with air entrainment but I'm stummped as to the root caues. I'm going to reasearch this and hopfully get to the bottom (no pun intended) of this.
