Has anyone heard of freshwater dolphins???? I can't find info anywhere can they be kept in aquariums????

are you talking about Mekong River Dolphins?
In that case no they cant be kept in aquariums.

a boto is from the amozon river but i dont think it can be kept in an aquarium

there is a large saltwater fish called a dolphin but i dont thin it can be kept in aquaria.

maybe oddbal will chime in with some info

Are you talking about this:

Mormyrus_tapirusAQ.jpg

Mormyrus tapirus Pappenheim 1905, an Elephantfish sometimes called "the Freshwater Dolphin". West Africa; basins of Guinea and Cameroon. To seventeen inches in length. One of the few of the two hundred plus species of mormyrids used in the aquarium interest.

if so, then yes, but they aren't easy to keep, sensitive to water parameters

if you mean this:

then NO and you're out of your mind!

the freshwater dolphin that i heard of are real dolphins that live in the amazon river and is pink because of the food they eat. and no, they won't be happy living in an aquarium.
