Yes I am talking about the picture underneath the baby whale. Not crazy:( just ambitious. Maybe if i decide to flood my house some day:headbang2 :headbang2 :naughty: :naughty:

That things crazy looking... And ya you could keep a fresh water dolphin in a tank... If it were like 50 foot long but i still don't think that would keep it very happy. And they're highly endangered so getting one legally would be nearly impossible. and illegally not much easier...
 
No you can't keep an Amazon dolphin. Even in the professional world, it's a big 'no-no'. No place in the US has been able to keep them, and since about 10 years ago, nobody has tried. It's because tey are so rare, and just don't do well in captivity.
I know of one tank that was specifically designed to house three of them. 200,000 gallons designed as a river (great water movement, good depth, lots of swimming room....) Even that turned out not to move forward just because there are still too many unknown factors at this point.
 
Come up to Canada, tonnes of space up here. And we could use a 200 000 + gallon aquarium. Hypothetically all technicalities aside, a) would you try and swim with the dolphin b) what is a good name for one?
