those were dorado's

Saw the dorados, I think around the same part as the caiman & piranha. The dolphins were earlier, in Lake Malawi...

arent we talking about dolphins, theyre pretty cool

This is the sadist thread, I have ever seen, I saw the guys 50,000 tank on this website and I said to my self, self one day maybe you could have a pet, dare I say it , dolphin. You see I am allergic and so have never been able to keep a pet with a deeper personality than a fish or snake. I looked it up and so than you could find ones that where under 100lbs and under five feet. It seemed to be like I was made in the shade with a simple plan. Stage 1 make money. Stage 2 build tank. Stage 3 not have my kids hate me for not being able to have a dog and becomeing to coolest dad in the world. Now I am afraid I am doomed to have this dreem crushed.

I haven't seen the 'fish" dolphin in shops around here. We don't get that much good stuff unless you go to a private store and order it. South Fla isn't exactly the hotspot for exotics for a lot is illegal.

As for the freshwater river dolphin, I read in an article that they are starting to beleive that it's extinct. Really sad stuff, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think I caught the link to that on here somewhere. Gonna have to look for it. :irked:

Amazon dolphins aren't extinct by anymeans... but they are rare. Still nothing anyone should keep in captivity until we know more about them in the wild... and re-establish those populations.
