Freshwater dolphins

i can get my hands on one of those dolphins if anyone is interested
 
I just saw some of the African dolphin fish (mormyrids I guess) on that "Planet Earth" docu. They were in Lake Malawi night-hunting for rift lake cichlids. Very cool predatory fish. They hunted by echolocation from what I could tell, and they may well have been zapping their prey also. I always figured they'd be something like an elephant-nose or baby whale, but their behavior was way different.

Those werent fresh water dolphins in Malawi, those were something else lol.

The F/W dolphins were in the amazon river...

No I know about the Amazon dolphins (real freshwater dolphins), but those fish show up in LFS from time to time (the Malawi ones). They call em blue dolphins or whatever...

Sorry Rob don't know about reruns, I'd guess they'll be on a couple times this week though. Some cool film of the freshwater seals from Siberia though.
