FX5 Spraybar?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
May have to attach it to some slate to get it to stay though...

that should be easy enough, just like a sponge filter. and your substrate will hide the slate

I made the spray bar. It's kind of like an "S" it goes back to front to back to front in a continuous line. I marked black dots for 40 holes an inch apart. Question is, what size drill bit? 1/4"?

how many holes and how long is the piping that will have holes drilled in it?

ok so for mine im trying to decide between a spraybar at each end or one long one along the back of the tank... im leaning twords one along the back so when im standing up looking at my tank i cant see it, but i also spend a lot of time sitting in front of my tank and it would be easier to hide it in the back of the tank against my black background

My first plan was a bust, too hard to explain. So I just went and bought a 5 foot piece of PVC and drilled 56 1/4" holes. It's going across the back in front of the 3D background. Oh well. Or I was debating about hanging it from the tank bracing and pointing it down. I'm probably going with option 1. The PVC cement for the out of water parts is drying over night then hopefully have it up tomorrow with pics.

Got it in the tank and its working great! I'm running a few places, coming home and doing a water change, then I'll try and get some pictures!

awesome. waiting for pics

The only picture I don't have is... I drilled 2 holes in the back near the cap of the spray bar to put a zip tie to. Then I added another zip tie and looped it around a nail i stuck in my background to hold the spray bar up. These pics are kind of bad, but any questions ask away!
