oh and you should also try to figure out to close the gap where the pvc enters the tank. the aro and gar might or will jump through it.
I'm getting a piece of plexiglass to fit in the gap. The hole's only temporary. I don't mind the white either. I didn't want to risk putting paint in there.
the krylon fushion spray paint is aquarium safe. ive used it and a lot of mfkers used in their tanks... just gotta let it dry.
Oh wow, I had no idea. Maybe on my next project. : ) I'm just proud for now that I was able to do it and accomplish what i wanted to do [down the current to let me aro have the top of the tank] He's back up top and very happy!
thats good. once your aro gets bigger he should be able to handle a stronger flow. my 21" silver can take 800+ gph head on lol
very nice. Following this thread gave me the urge to make one yesterday, now I just have to let the paint dry
Aw yeah! haha. Post your pics when you're done! Now I just have to get some water spots off my glass and I'll be good. It's not even coming off rubbing my fingers on it.

I decided just to make it simple for my first DIY idea. And I didn't have much luck with the suction cups so I figured this way would be easy to attach it.
